Hey all! I haven’t updated this week as much as I’d like to. Work is getting busy and I want to get a couple of things completed before I jet off to New York (yay!!) next week. I do have a couple of non-hair related posts that I’m working on in my head and will, hopefully, share with you on the weekend. Until then, sit back and peruse Clutch Magazine‘s Bleach, Nip, Tuck: The White Beauty Myth.
I started watching it and my mouth dropped open. With people like Sammy Sosa bleaching themselves, I’m a little worried that people will begin to see this as fashion and not as self-hate, which I believe it is.

Started watching it, but honestly couldn’t sit through the whole thing. Much too bizarre, and sad. Might give it another go later this week…lol

I know. I watched it last night and I was in shock… and a little annoyed by the people. I know that they have some serious issues, but I couldn’t believe that people would take it that far. Really, you have a beautiful family and a husband who loves you and you’re concerning yourself about the colour of your skin? Don’t even get me started on the Black woman. There’s part 2 — I’m going to post the link today.
