Tips for preventing fairy knots

I’ve complained about fairy knots and how they wreak havoc on my hair. I just saw on Mane and Chic 10 Tips for Preventing One Strand Knots. Check them out if you’re having issues with these wicked little things.

Personally, I’ve noticed that since moisturizing more frequently, co-washing less often and doing more protective styling, I’m seeing less knots, but unfortunately they are still there… that’s probably because I’ve been wearing my hair out a little more often now that the weather is warm.

Check out this video (love her accent!) more for single strand knot help:

I’m hoping to incorporate more of these tips — especially doing more deep conditioning treatments and trying oil rinsing (which I did try, but did it all wrong and ended up with really oily hair). Hope the tips help 🙂

Have a good weekend!

Good luck, girl! Fairy knots are a pain in the backside. Keep it stretched too, that may help.
