Getting kinky again ;)

So, I’ve been wearing Korina for a good week and I can’t wait until tomorrow when I untwist my flat twists and rock a big puffy afro. It’s so strange — for a good 20 years, I couldn’t imagine my life with my own natural hair. A year and some of being natural and I hate when my hair isn’t kinky, coily or curly.

Last night, the Hubby and I were looking through some of my photos on Facebook and he saw a picture of me from two summers ago when I was transitioning. My hair was a big old ‘fro. He said, “you know, I really like when your hair is like that.”

I really like when my hair is like that too.

Tomorrow morning can’t get here fast enough.

Off topic: Chile experienced a 8.8 magnitude earthquake on February 28. This earthquake, scientists say, may have shortened the days on Earth as well as changed the planet’s rotation. Crazy. In this craziness, there are people suffering, homeless and hungry. Remember our Chilean brothers and sisters and donate some money to a reputable organizations to help. We’re a global family and we need to help each other during the tough times.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten Haiti. While the Chilean earthquake was stronger, it didn’t do as much damage as the Haiti earthquake on January 12 due to Haiti’s lack of infrastructure and poverty. Continue giving — the Haitian people will need our help for years to come.

Really, what is the world coming to? Two major earthquakes in two months? What else will 2010 bring? I’m just gonna be praying ’cause this stuff will scare you.

Have a great weekend, readers!

You look beautiful in the picture above, I really like your hair like that! Big hair is the best 🙂 Yes sa, I already got my giving on for this month because of Chile, had to steal some from the Haiti money but hopefully there’s no earthquake next month so I can get back to Haiti. This stuff is pretty scary.

There is definitely something satisfying about run your fingers through your natural hair and feeling all the beautiful texture 🙂
