The first time I heard about AIDS was as a little girl in grade 4. That was more than 25 years ago. There is still no cure and people are still becoming infected, getting sick and dying. So on World AIDS Day (December 1) I encourage all my naturalistas, relaxed sisters and everyone in-between to take as good care of your body as you do your hair by:
- getting tested and knowing your status
- practicing abstinence or safe sex
- talking to your partner(s) and knowing their status
- not sharing needles
Today, remember those who have passed away from this deadly disease. Be smart and take care of yourself.
