I’m part of a great community service group, Black Pearls Community Services, Inc. It’s a group of Black women who are working to help other Black women and girls build self-esteem and further their education in the Greater Toronto Area.

Films like Good Hair and Precious are getting people talking about beauty and self-image. What are your thoughts? The interactive roundtable discussion will touch on many of the themes of beauty in our community – from good hair to self-esteem – in a positive environment. Whether you’ve seen the films or not, join us for this fun, insightful discussion on beauty.
